EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Royal Credit Union (Royal) has named Jon Nelson Corporate Counsel. In this role, Nelson is responsible for providing legal advice, ensuring regulatory compliance, and representing Royal in legal proceedings while supporting the organization's mission and operations within the financial services industry. Nelson has extensive experience in corporate and transactional law gained through roles across private practice, in-house counsel, and nonprofit sectors. He has represented businesses and nonprofits in all aspects of general corporate matters, complex transactions, and litigation.

Nelson graduated from the University of St. Thomas, earning a Bachelor of Arts in legal studies in business. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Nelson is licensed to practice law in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts in Minnesota and Utah.
