At Royal, our core purpose is to make a positive impact in the lives we touch. The start of the school year is an exciting time of new beginnings with students returning to the classrooms. However, some families may face financial difficulties that make it challenging to meet essential needs ensure their little ones are properly prepared. To address this need, Royal Credit Union proudly partnered with Bolder Options to host Royal’s first school supply drive benefiting children and families in the twin cities.
Bolder Options is a local Metro area non-profit that supports kids that may experience life challenges by offering mentoring programs that are fun, empowering and engaging. The school supplies were distributed to program participants at a back to school celebration.
“You could tell by the look on parents’ faces when they saw all the supplies lined up on the table, there was a HUGE weight lifted off their shoulders.” stated LaChelle Menard, Member Account Representative. “I’m so blessed to have been able to attend this even, and I am very thankful we were able to get this put together to help these families.”
School Supplies were collected at Royal’s Metro offices during the month of August. Over 300 school supplies and $625 were donated to Bolder Options.
