Becoming a Business Banking Officer has been a long-awaited goal for Cody. Now that he's in the role, he's committed to furthering his learning, passion, and development. He actively reaches out to leaders about learning opportunities, leadership training, and new experiences, such as joining committees and clubs. For example, he was part of the Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation's North Metro Young Professionals 2024 cohort. This program allowed him to connect with other young professionals, develop leadership skills, and get involved in community initiatives. Cody hopes to expand his skills and be an asset to both Members and fellow team members.

Cody’s advice to team members and other young professionals is to take advantage of job shadowing opportunities. Royal empowers team members to explore and learn about development opportunities, but if you're unsure about your career direction, shadowing individuals in other roles can be a great starting point. Cody worked closely with his manager to connect with different departments and explore opportunities for growth. Through this, he gained valuable insights into different roles, learned new skills with hands-on experience, and built a network of contacts across Royal.

Cody has banked with many institutions, but he recognizes that we stand out. Royal’s genuine care for our Members, community involvement, and commitment to making a positive impact set us apart. Cody continues to pursue these values in his work, serving our Members with dedication and passion.

Thank you for all your hard work, Cody!
