Get fast and easy ATM access and the power to make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted. It looks like a credit card, but the amount of your purchase comes right out of your RCU Checking Account. Your RCU Check Card is not a credit card, so you don’t pay finance charges.

  Accurate Records

With the RCU Check Card, you can easily track all of your purchases. You can view your itemized transactions on eBranch and on your checking account statement.

There are two ways to make purchases:

Debit— Enter your PIN and the purchase is deducted
immediately from your account. You can also choose
to receive cash back.

Credit—Select credit and the transaction will be
processed just like a check. It may take 2-3 days
to clear your account.

With a savings, Minimum Balance Checking, Checking Plus, or Checking Plus Interest account*:

Your RCU Check Card is FREE.
Withdrawals at RCU ATM’s are FREE.
Your first six withdrawals at non-RCU Pulse ATM
or POS terminal (whenever a PIN is entered)
each month are FREE. A transaction fee of $.50
will be charged for each additional withdrawal.
A transaction fee of $1.50 will be charged when you
use your card at non- PULSE or non-CO-OP Network
   terminals.

With a Free Checking account*:

Use It to Get Cash
You can use your RCU Check Card to get cash at an ATM. You can even check your balance, make deposits, and transfer money. Receive surcharge-free transactions at all RCU ATMs, ATMs displaying the Alliance One logo, and ATMs that are part of the CO-OP Financial Services ATM network. If you can’t find an Alliance One ATM, look for a PULSE ATM. You may have to pay the surcharge from the financial institution, but you will avoid any non-network fees.** You can also make a deposit at any PULSE, CO-OP Network, or MoneyPass if it is a depository ATM.***

Peace of Mind
An RCU Check Card is more secure than cash or checks because the money passes through fewer hands and is transferred electronically. Your card is also monitored to prevent fraud, and your online purchases may be protected with Verified by Visa.

Verified by Visa— Visa offers online protection of your RCU Check Card. The first time you use your card through the Visa network for a purchase over the Internet at a participating merchant, you will be prompted to create a unique password. This password will help verify your identity during future Internet purchases at participating vendors.

** You get six free non-PULSE ATM withdrawals per month. $.50 will be charged for each additional withdrawal. With RCU FREE Checking,
$.50 will be charged for each ATM withdrawal.

*** This is applicable only if the ATM’s owner accepts non-customer deposits.

**** RCU is not responsible for the accuracy of the ATM information found on the PULSE website. When looking for a PULSE ATM, look for the largest logo on the machine. If PULSE is the largest, it's a good indication that it is a PULSE machine. If you are at all unsure about whether or not an ATM is part of the PULSE network, you may not want to use it because if it is not part of the network, you will be charged to use the machine.
